Super Mom

I wrote a poem for my Mom as a Mother's Day gift way back in 1997 (maybe it was 1996.)

She's had it posted above her side of my parents' bed since then.  Over the years, the colours have faded and parts of the poem have vanished.  Take a look at what's left over below.

I decided to give the poem a face lift.  I was able to remember some of the faded lines but a few of them escaped me.  Here's the redo:

I'm hoping to return the poem to its rightful place very soon.

What a wonderful memory!

Love all the colours. Reminds me of the notes I used to get from Sheba.

Hi Faiza, I just saw your comment on Rachel Awes Listen blog, and thought I would see where you write. I love this post about you giving new life the the poem you wrote your mom on Mother's Day. And all the colors--I love color! Just wanted to ask you if you have heard of The Beckoning of Lovely project created by Amy Krouse Rosenthal? Since your blog is lovely day, I thought you might want to check it out if you haven't seen it. Just search her name with Beckoning of Lovely, and you should be directed to the video.

Have a lovely Sunday!
